Job Description:
A company is looking for a Surgical Coder responsible for coding
clinical data from medical records.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret medical records to identify diagnoses and
procedures for coding
Clarify ambiguous information in medical records by consulting with
physicians
Apply coding guidelines to assign and sequence correct diagnostic
and procedural codes
Required Qualifications
Post High School education or equivalent
Two years of coding experience in professional fees
(physician/medical office)
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and
physiology
Comprehensive understanding of ICD and CPT coding principles
Current knowledge and experience in ICD-10 coding
